Senior Work Solutions is based in Austin, Texas and was founded by the mother and daughter team of Allison Jenkins and Holly DeLeon to address an impending need in the workplace.


There is an unprecedented shift occurring in the age distribution of the general population and specifically the labor force.  This phenomenon is driven by 3 demographic realities – the disproportionate size of the baby boom generation, increasing longevity, and declining birthrates.  With these demographic changes, companies in developed economies will face an unprecedented brain drain.  In order for companies to survive, they must rethink their workforce strategies and transform their management and human resources practices.

 

The baby boomers are redefining several pre-conceived ideas about retirement and aging.  “What has not yet sunk in is that a growing number of older people- say those over 50 – will not keep on working as traditional full-time, nine-to-five employees, but will participate in the labor force in many new and different ways.” (Peter Drucker, The Next Society, Economist, Nov. 3, 2001)


It is the goal of Senior Work Solutions to create an efficient and effective vehicle for matching the skills, expertise, and flexible work needs of Seniors with the staffing and strategic talent management needs of employers.
